Carolyn Lord has been with Taproot Community Support Services since 1987. She began as a senior manager before becoming a Registered Psychologist in 1999. She has worked extensively with children, adults with traumatic brain injuries, and first responders. Over the years, Carolyn has also provided clinical support across Children’s Services, PDD, Brain Injury programs, and professional development initiatives.

As one of the original shareholders of Taproot (formerly WJS Canada), Carolyn played a key role in shaping the organization. Though she retired in 2021, she remains deeply involved as a Board Director and actively contributes through committee work. She is excited to be part of Taproot’s evolution and embrace the organization’s new direction.

Originally from Prince Edward Island, Carolyn is happiest outdoors. She is an avid downhill skier, runner, and water sports enthusiast who loves spending time with family, friends, and her puppies.
