Empowering Independence Through Personalized Support
At Taproot Community Support Services, we help people with diverse abilities build independence and find belonging in their communities. Whether through supported living, life skills coaching, or behavioural support, we focus on helping each person thrive in their own way.
How We Support Independence
Living Solutions That Fit – From supported homes to semi-independent living, we tailor living arrangements that foster well-being and self-sufficiency.
Guidance for Emotional and Behavioural Growth – Our team offers individualized strategies and mentorship to support emotional well-being and self-regulation.
Life Skills and Meaningful Employment – We help individuals develop the skills and confidence needed for employment, volunteering, and community involvement.
Community Access for People in Continuing Care (CAPCC) – Community-based support for adults under 65 in continuing care, focused on reducing social isolation and strengthening connection to family, friends, and community. Individuals may self-refer or be referred by continuing care staff, family, friends, and other community partners.
Community & Family Connection
Families as Partners – We encourage families to be part of the journey, offering respite services and collaborative planning.
Engaging Day Programs – Community-based activities help build friendships, confidence, and real-world experiences.
Supportive Home Environments
Therapeutic Homes – Structured, supportive environments for people with complex needs.
