Taproot Community Support Services has been recognized by Human Resources Director (HRD) Canada as one of the country’s Best Places to Work for 2025. An independent employee survey produced an 83 percent overall satisfaction rating, placing Taproot among a select group of employers celebrated for culture, flexibility, and career development.
As an employee-owned certified B Corp, Taproot builds equity and shared purpose into everyday work. Staff shape everything from flexible schedules and wellness days to coaching, education funds, and Indigenous-led cultural learning.
CEO Mike Fotheringham credits the award to teams across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario: “We have succeeded in emphasizing the importance of our frontline teams and the work they do to strengthen individuals and families in the communities we serve.”
The Best Places to Work program reviews employment policies, benefits, turnover, growth opportunities, and diversity initiatives, then confirms results through an anonymous employee survey. Only organizations scoring 75 percent or higher make the list, underscoring the depth of commitment shown by Taproot staff.
We are proud of this milestone and remain focused on supporting people to thrive in their communities.
